• Program notes:

"À parte de quem sou" – or "Far from who I am" – is a quote from the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa: this work reflects on the sound and timbral identity of each of the two instruments through their interaction. Who's Who? What is the identity of one, what is that of the other?

If the instrument "moves away from itself" to merge with the other – with the same gestures and the same formal path – it is perhaps possible to arrive at a new common identity, which makes the combination of the instruments more than the sum of the two respective set off.
