The entire piece is based on the timbral and gestural interaction of viola and cello, almost always in the same register, which blend and dialogue until they become – metaphorically – a single instrument.

In a game of tensions and relaxations, of distancing and rapprochement, a wide range of timbres and techniques is explored – through a continuous "dialogue".
